About Kerry
I’m Kerry Knight, a Reiki Master and holistic Well-being Coach.
I’m also a mum to two beautiful souls who I beam with pride over every time I think of them, wondering how I got so lucky to play a role in the joy of seeing them shine their unique light into this world.
My journey into this work began over 15 years ago when I first trained in beauty and became a Reiki practitioner. Over the years, my path evolved—just as I did. I deepened my knowledge, became a Reiki Master, and expanded into life coaching, mindfulness practices, and The Grief Recovery Method. Most recently, deepening my understanding of the Sydney Banks "Three Principles" which has profoundly transformed both my personal and professional life.
But I’ve not always been the person you see today. Like many, I’ve had my struggles. My darkest hour came in 2016 when my husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer and passed away the following year. During that time, I faced my deepest fears—abandonment wounds from childhood resurfacing with an intensity I hadn’t known before. And yet, despite the pain, there was something within me that carried me through. Others called it strength, but what I have now come to see is that my innate well-being was always there, even when I couldn’t feel it. That realisation changed everything.
For many years before that, I was a seeker—a searcher of solutions to fix myself. Low moods, depression, and anxiety led me to look in all sorts of directions for relief. I explored countless approaches that promised healing and change, but everything I found was about doing and fixing.
“We have to do the work,” they said. And so, I did. But the constant striving to feel better was exhausting. While these approaches helped to some degree, I would always find myself falling back, feeling like something was still missing.
That missing piece was revealed when I came across the Three Principles understanding. I no longer feel I have to do and fix—because I’ve come to see that well-being isn’t something to chase or achieve. It’s already there, within us, beneath all the noise of thought. This deeper understanding has changed how I see life and how I work with others. Through my own healing, I saw that we are all incredible human beings living in a thought-created reality. Our experience of life is not coming from external circumstances, but from within—from the power of Mind, Consciousness, and Thought shaping what we see and feel. When we begin to understand this, life becomes less complicated. We suffer less. We stop looking outside ourselves for peace and instead realise it’s already within us.
This is why my work is not about fixing or healing you—because you are not broken. My role is simply to hold space, to walk alongside you as you reconnect with the truth of who you are. I have witnessed time and time again how Reiki helps quiet the mind, allowing the nervous system to settle so clarity and wisdom can naturally emerge. When we are no longer caught up in overthinking, our innate resilience shines through. Whether through Reiki or holistic coaching, everything I offer is about guiding you back to this truth. My greatest joy is seeing that moment when the light comes back on in your eyes—when you remember the truth of who you are.
Reiki is a gentle yet powerful energy practice that promotes relaxation and encourages the body’s natural ability to heal. Originating from Japan, Reiki means “universal life energy.” It works by channeling this energy through the practitioner’s hands to the recipient, helping to balance and harmonise the mind, body, and spirit.
When life feels overwhelming, our nervous system often stays in a state of fight-or-flight, making it difficult to hear the quiet wisdom within us. Reiki helps create stillness, allowing the mind to settle and the body to return to a state of balance. As the noise of overthinking quiets, clarity and insight naturally emerge.
During a Reiki session, many people experience a sense of deep peace, warmth, and calm. But beyond the immediate relaxation, Reiki supports long-term emotional and physical well-being by reminding us of the innate harmony that exists within.
The Three Principles—Mind, Consciousness, and Thought—describe how we experience life from the inside out.
Understanding these principles shows us that our experience of life doesn’t come from circumstances, but from how we think about those circumstances. When we realise that our feelings are coming from our own thoughts, not the outside world, we gain a sense of freedom. Life becomes lighter, and we begin to trust the natural resilience that resides within us.
Sydney Banks was an ordinary man who had an extraordinary insight into the nature of the human experience. In 1973, while living in British Columbia, Canada, he experienced a profound shift in consciousness that revealed the Three Principles. His realisation showed that peace, happiness, and wisdom are not something we need to seek or earn—they are already within us.
Through his simple yet profound teachings, Sydney Banks shared that all human beings have the potential for clarity and well-being when they understand the true source of their experiences. His insights have transformed countless lives and continue to do so today, offering a new paradigm in psychology and personal transformation.
As Sydney Banks said:
"If only people learned not to be afraid of their own experiences, that alone would change the world."
The Reiki principles I aim to live by and share are simple, yet powerful:
Alongside these, I now also carry the deep understanding that beneath all of life’s challenges, there is an unshakable well-being within us all.
From my heart to yours,
Namaste.
